Studio & Soundtrack Projects

The recording studio is my favorite place to be. I created these documentary film soundtracks and appear as a guest artist on these recordings. Your project could be next! Contact me if you need a versatile fiddler to do some recording.

Film soundtracks

Cornell Lab of Ornithology: The Sanctuary
A short high-definition nature film with a soundtrack of natural sounds, narration and solo fiddle tunes with bird names in their titles. By videographer David Brown. You can see the film in the Lab's Visitor Center. 2005

Threads to the Past
A WSKG public TV documentary about embroidery in Russia and Eastern Europe by Tom Milligan. I'm joined on the soundtrack by Mitzie Collins on hammered dulcimer and Alexei Lipschitz, an amazing accordionist from Minsk, Belarus. 52 mins. 1998
The tunes I learned from Alexei Lipschitz for the documentary Threads to the Past came in handy at a Gypsy Festival.
